Adult Volunteers
Angel's Wish is an all-volunteer organization and depends on the community to help the animals in our care. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for people of different ages, skills, and backgrounds. Please take a moment to look through our opportunities, and if you have other ideas you would like to share, let us know.
Youth Volunteers
Kids are welcome as volunteers as well! Please refer to our Youth Volunteer page for more information on how kids can volunteer, including with their families!
Please Note: Angel’s Wish is unfortunately not on a bus line and we do not have the ability to offer transportation for volunteers. Also, Angel's Wish is unable to participate in court-ordered community service at this time.
How You Can Volunteer
There
are many ways to volunteer with Angel's Wish. Many of the common
areas where we need volunteers are listed below. Please also

Adoption Center
- Pet caretakers - prepare condos, cleanup after animals leave.
- Adoption consultants - help make great pet and people matches.
- Retail area - welcome customers, provide product recommendations.
- Office administration - answer phones, computer work, etc.
- Building maintainance - minor projects, routine cleaning.
- Education - assist with volunteer orientations.
Fostering Animals
- Become fosters for our animals. Please see our Fostering page for more information.
Grant Writing
- Research and identify grant opportunities.
- Gather info about the guidelines/requirements.
- Submit for approval.
Membership and Volunteer Activities
- Help with membership drives.
- Plan rewards and acknowledgments for volunteers.
Microchipping
- Plan and coordinate microchip clinics for the public.
- Assist during a clinic with paperwork and greeting people.
- Distribute promotional materials.
Office & Organization
- Assist with mailings.
- Maintain inventory of copies.
- Prepare price tags and mark merchandise.
Promotions and Marketing
- Help with direct mailings.
- Plan and work events and fundraisers.
- Brainstorm events and opportunities.
- Work with the newsletter team.
- Create flyers and direct mailers.
- Create, distribute and maintain donation cans.
